Should you have an emergency during non-business hours and you live within the City of Jacksonville, call the Jacksonville Police Department at 479-4630. If you live in any other area of the County, call the Morgan County Sheriffs Department at 243-6123.
Effective January 1, 2009
ADOPTION FEES: $80.00 for a dog or puppy, of that $80 you will receive a gift certificate worth $40.00 to be used toward the spay or neuter of said dog. $50.00 for a cat or kitten, of that $50.00 you will receive a gift certificate worth $25.00 to be used toward the spay or neuter of said cat.
As of January 1, 2006, public act 094-0639 officially became a law. In addition to the pick up fee charged by Morgan County, the state of Illinois will impose an additional $25.00 pick up fee each time the dog or dogs are picked up.
There is a LEASH LAW, when you allow your dog to run loose, you are breaking the LAW! You are liable for any property damage, and or medical bills that may occur from your dog's actions.
